First and foremost chess should be fun! This is the ethos of Ojays, the Oxfordshire Junior Squad Chess Club. We currently meet weekly in person, during term time, to develop young chess players in preparation for county tournaments and individual competitions.

Oxfordshire Junior Championships Results 2025

The Oxfordshire Junior Chess Championships took place at Cumnor Primary School on the weekend of 4 th -5 th Jan 2025. There were over 100 entries across the four sections: U9, U11, U13, U15/18. The tournament had a very positive feel to it, lots of enthusiasm from participants and organisers alike. Those children who did well in the U9 and U11 sections will have the opportunity to represent Oxfordshire in the forthcoming EPSCA zonal qualifiers and national finals. Oxfordshire Junior Championships & County Trials - January 2025

Calling All Oxon Junior Chess Players! The annual County Junior Championship tournament takes place on the weekend of 4 th & 5 th January 2025 at Cumnor Primary School . Under 9s - Saturday 4 th Under 11s - Sunday 5 th Under 13s, 15s & 18s run throughout 4 th & 5 th Players who perform well will be invited to join the county junior teams to compete in the 2025 EPSCA regional qualifiers and national finals!
