First and foremost chess should be fun! This is the ethos of Ojays, the Oxfordshire Junior Squad Chess Club. We typically meet weekly during term time, either in person or online, to develop young chess players in preparation for county tournaments and individual competitions.

Calling All Oxon Junior Chess Players!

The annual County Junior Championship tournament takes place on the weekend of 7th & 8th January 2023 at Cumnor Primary School.

  • Under 9s - Saturday 7th
  • Under 11s - Sunday 8th
  • Under 13s, 15s & 18s run throughout 7th & 8th

Players who perform well will be invited to join the county junior teams to compete in the 2023 EPSCA regional qualifiers and national finals!
